Pumpkin Carving

Today we carved our pumpkin.....we grabbed a big one when we were at the pumpkin patch.  The children have been begging to carve it.....one of their favorite things to do and mine!

Pulling out the "guts!"

So proud of B, he actually dug in a few times......love his face!!!

Maddox on the other hand was NOT going to reach in there!

So, he used the scoop instead.

We washed the seeds off and roasted them.......then drizzled some olive oil on top and sprinkled some season salt and garlic and put in oven for about 15 minutes at 350 degrees.  You could use any seasoning you prefer.....Connie (our neighbor) brought us some that she made with dry ranch mix.....those were pretty tasty as well.

While they snacked on the pumpkin seeds, I carved the pumpkin......they voted on what type of jack-o-lantern they wanted.......pointy eyes, rectangle nose and jagged scary mouth!

They love how it turned out......they think it's pretty scary!!!
