St. Patrick's Day!

Well we celebrated St. Patrick's Day a little early since it's on Saturday.  We had lots of fun with green food and trying to capture the Leprechaun......a few of the kiddos got a little scared when we talked about trying to catch the leprechaun, so I had to explain to them that it was all pretend!

All dressed in green!

Our trap for the Leprechaun......we thought he might like some lucky charms.

We thought we captured him, but......

He escaped and.......

Went down the toilet and forgot his pot of gold, so......

We got to enjoy his "gold" and some gold chocolate!

Next it was time for a green snack.....some green jigglers and some chocolate pretzel shamrocks (these are like the ones I made for valentine's day, but I made them look like a shamrock instead).

Oh, and a little green drink as well......I added a package of lime kool-aid to a 2 liter bottle of Sprite.

Game Time......we did a little balloon toss and pin the pot of gold on the rainbow.

Finally it was time for lunch......I stuck some spaghetti through the hot dogs and put them in a pan of boiling green water.

We also had some green milk......the kids thought it was funny that they had green mustaches!

Surprisingly all but 1 of the kids ate their hotdogs.....I did have to take some of the spaghetti out for a few of them!  Kids are so funny when it comes to different food.

Maddox didn't care......he ate it all!

The kids helped make these cupcakes, which I will share with you tomorrow.......we will be eating these this afternoon.
