Oobleck

I love making oobleck with the kids......this is one sensory experience I have to get my hands into, literally!  It is so fun and it's actually an easy one to clean up.  If they happen to drip on their clothes, it just brushes right off.

All you need is some cornstarch, water and a big container.  You want to make sure you get the right consistancy......add 1 1/2 cups of water to 1 box of cornstarch (16 oz).

We added green food coloring to go with our Dr. Seuss Book, Bartholomew and the Oobleck.

The kids had so much fun with this, you grab it like a solid and then it melts in your hand like a liquid.  We made a huge batch this summer and the kids played with it in their swimming suits outside.....dripping it on themselves and their friends.

B wasn't so sure about it.....he isn't too crazy about putting his hands in stuff.....I think he lasted about 20 seconds and he was ready to be done!

This is something you can save and do again......it will look dried out, but just add some water and mix it together.....it will soften up.  When you are ready to dispose of it, I recommend throwing it in the trash and not down your sink.
