Stained Glass Crosses

This is another fun Easter craft using warming trays.  If you remember, we did a similar craft way back in September.  This time, we made crosses.

We started out the same way with a warming tray, crayons, and wax paper......the kids love to just color on the wax paper, but you can always shave the crayons or chop them up with a knife and watch them melt.  Also, if you don't have a warming tray you can do this with an iron.....put some crayon shavings between 2 pieces of wax paper, put inside an old pillow case or lay a thin towel over the top and iron until the crayons melt.

Then I cut out a cross out of black construction paper.

We then glued it onto their wax paper and trimmed the edges to make their beautiful stained glass crosses!  How pretty to hang in a window during Easter or anytime for that matter!
