E is for Eggs

The month of October, we have been talking about fall.....leaves, pumpkins, change of weather, etc.  We've gone on several nature walks taking in all the beauty around us......we purposely found some pinecones at the park to use for this project.
All you need is an empty container, paint, a pinecone and a piece of paper.  Dip the pinecone in paint and put in the container with a piece of paper, then tip back and forth so the pinecone rolls around.  This will create prints on the paper.
Since we were discussing the letter E, we dipped an egg in paint and rolled it around as well.....gave 2 different designs on the paper.

Isn't this egg beautiful?!!?

And the pinecone looks very fallish......which could be another project in itself!

Here are the children's prints......you can leave as is or cut out a leaf pattern.

We also decided to make some eggs for E.

My little helpers were great at using the wisk!

Scrambled, fried and hard boiled.

They were divided on which eggs were their favorite.
