Marbled Eggs

Here is another fun Easter Egg......this activity is very similar to the shamrocks we made with shaving cream.  This time we used poster board to make it a little sturdier and also in the middle of the egg, we put a cross with masking tape to represent the cross that Jesus died on.

Sorry, it's kind of hard to see the cross.

The kids got to work dripping paint on the shaving cream.....we used green, blue, pink and purple.....some of the kids used 2 colors and some used at 4.

Then swirl the paint and shaving cream together with a toothpick.  When finished, lay the egg on top of the paint and press down.  Then pick straight up and wipe off the shaving cream to to reveal the marble effect. 

After you have wiped off the excess, pull the tape off to reveal the cross. 
I think these turned out really neat and the kids were very excited to pull off the tape......everytime the tape came off they all said it was the cross that Jesus died on!
